The Pentecost is known as a Christian celebration, related to the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles after the death and resurrection of Jesus at Easter or Passover. In reality it is a very ancient festivity of the year related to the celebration of the harvest which, according to the Ancient Sacred Text, was taking place on the fiftieth day after First Fruits, also known as the "Feast of Weeks" and the "Feast of 50 Days" in the rabbinic tradition. The word Pentecost comes from the Greek Πεντηκοστή (Pentēkostē) meaning "fiftieth". 

From the spiritual point of view the descent of the Holy Spirit at the time of Pentecost, which this year will occur on 23rd May, is related to the possibility of receiving a direct connection with Spirit/God within oneself in order to move forward throughout the year completely guided upon the realization of our mission and purpose on the planet at this time of our incarnation.
 
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God…?” (Saint Paul in 1 Corinthians 6:19).

Since the day of Pentecost, our physical bodies become the temples where the Holy Spirit, the Divine Presence, dwells in order to guide us in every decision for our lives. The point of Pentecost is mission, and the goal of our mission at this point in time for the manifestation of the Higher Will, the Divine Will, in our little lives as a contribution for the realization of the Divine Plan on earth: “… And the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” (Hab. 2:14). 
 
"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4).
 
The tremendous significance of Pentecost is therefore, that Spirit’s guidance becomes available to those who choose to be present to listen to His Divine Voice within and honour this guidance in living their lives.

In this meditation together we will experience that openness to this higher guidance in order to be blessed by this Divine Light that will be shining upon us.
